Competition imagery is an important aspect to any architectural process. Many of our artists come from an architectural background so we understand the complexity and iterative nature of designing, especially at an early stage. Often at this stage the scheme hasn't been finalised and is based upon an idea, we work to emphasise and showcase the architectural intent, focusing on the key concepts that are the basis for the design.

CANAAN LANE

Working alongside the development team at Purcell architects, we produced these two visualisations to showcase a new residential scheme in Canaan Lane, Edinburgh. The proposal juxtaposes the traditional sandstone clad new builds throughout the city and creates a unique jewel within the city, responding to the form and tones of the surrounding areas. The project was further developed by Studio Sanderson and more information can be found here.
